It was a wild and crazy night at Adams Motorsports Park that was filled with tire smoke, modified cars, giveaways, contests, girls, and duct tape! It was a packed house, and there was even a television crew covering the event. Quite a few of the usual drifters were out with various mechanical difficulties, but the drivers that were on hand were driving great! Driver Jeannette Kostial and the gang got a new hydraulic turning brake on the godspeed car where most of the night was spent breaking it in.
There were only a few major cases of R.O.T (Running out of talent). One of them sent K.R.O.P.S founder, Jerel and his girlfriend Krystle, running for cover when a Mustang careened out of control through the tires and almost into DJ Pow’s stage!
About half way through the night, Daniel Kuo and Corolla Joe showed up.
I had only seen Daniel at Sideways Sundays before, so I was excited to see what he would do on a tighter track. He did not disappoint! His car was very loud and fast!
Troy started a series of hilarious competitions such as the eating competition, which was easily dominated by Infamous Car Club.
Next up was the always amusing Adams Motorsports Park mud slip and slide!
All sliders were given twenty bucks, but that wasn’t enough for them. They all wanted a hug and chased Troy around the infield. In the end, Troy pulled off moves that would make the NFL proud, and escaped unscathed.
There were TONS of giveaways! Metro PCS gave away a gift basket with a Smartphone and a ton of accessories, not to mention, FREE ICE CREAM! JDM was giving way shift knobs and a bunch of K.R.O.P.S shirts were also thrown into the crowd. Something seemed like it was definitely missing over the course of the evening, but luckily it was fixed about halfway through the night as Chappy showed up! I don’t think there was any way you could keep him away from the ABC contest! Next in the string of contests was the shuffle contest where five kids battled it out for Six Flags tickets! There was also another AMP style birthday celebration. Someone from the crowd volunteered for it even though I’m not quite sure he knew what he was signing up for! Troy landed a low hit, and had to take a lashing as payback. As if the audience wasn’t traumatized enough already, immediately following the birthday madness was the ABC contest…STARTING WITH THE MEN! Screams of shock and horror mixed with eruptions of laughter came from the crowd, as six very brave guys took to the stage in outfits that should never have been exposed to the outside world!
It was absolutely hilarious! After the winner was chosen, which could only be considered the best of the worst, it was time for the show that everyone had come for! THE GIRLS!!!
Talk about a change of emotion from the audience! They were absolutely loving it! Two of the girls had been walking around in their outfits all night, but it was Tori stealing the show, taking off a sweat shirt to reveal Monster pasties! The girls put on a hell of a show! It came down to it the awesome dancing skills edging out Tori’s wild outfit for the win! Kevin Kim of MADMAC was also on the mic all night. There were several mentions to the raffle going on, where a Honda Civic was up for grabs.
Thursday night was one of the wildest nights yet at Adams! Everyone left with a smile on their faces. Next on the schedule is Sideway Sundays (9/18/11)! Hope to see you there! Please Keep Racing Off Public Streets!
