Sideway Sundays (8/28/11)

As my eyes cracked open to the sound of my alarm clock, at an hour that shouldn’t exist on weekends, I thought to myself, Is it really time to get up? Then I remembered, It’s Sideways Sunday, and I sprung to my feet. I rushed to load the car and peeled off to Toyota Speedway! I arrived at the parking lot at 9:30 AM. As I stepped out of the car, I noticed a strange melting sensation taking over my body… It was already BLISTERING HOT! Luckily I had an umbrella for shade and plenty of Gatorade! The first thing I noticed was the laid back vibe. Several drivers were in Las Vegas for FD. That opened up some slots for other drivers, and gave us time for contests and shade! The water balloon toss sparked off a free for all water fight, with Troy Adams seeming to get the worst of the punishment.

Proper Detailing

We got a chance to have one of our K.R.O.P.S. cars cleaned by Proper Detailing. Proper Detailing was started by Mikey Natividad and Danny Rabara not too long ago. They are a rising mobile detailing company based out in Covina, CA who strive in providing the finest service possible with the use of proper products, tools, and techniques. They focus on detailing cars in the import scene, car shows, and track racing enthusiasts. Proper supports our cause in Keeping Racing Off Public Streets.

Feather Brand

We, at K.R.O.P.S., encourage people to keep racing off public streets. We also love to encourage and support people who are striving to make a name for themselves. AMP Drift Series Part II

August 11, 2011, was the second part of the Drift Series held at Adams Motorsports Park. The series consists of 4 race points, 1 drop (low score or missed event), and $500 cash for Series Champion + Prizes. The points structure is based on the Formula D style. The entry fee is $75 and the other sessions that take part earlier in the day are still $20 each. Each event has prizes for the top 3 drifters: 3rd and 2nd place get prizes/products and 1st place wins $300 plus prizes.

SpoCom 2011

On August 6, 2011, the SpoCom Consumer & Tradeshow was held at the Anaheim Convention Center from 4PM to 11PM. This car show had a great turnout with a variety of cars, vendors, dance crews, contests, and plenty of models!

Sideways Sundays @ Irwindale Speedway

On July 31, 2011, was another Sideways Sundays event that took place at Irwindale Speedway, CA, from 10 AM to 4 PM. It was a drifting event hosted by Adams Motorsports that was geared more for the grassroots crowd/drifters. Some of the festivities consisted of a car show, live DJs, vendors, models, contests, prizes, and of course the non-stop drifting action.
